I am a Mountaineer, having been born and raised in West Virginia. I graduated from West Virginia University College of Creative Arts with a BFA and an art education k-12 certification. I relocated to North Carolina to begin my art teaching career and to start a family with my husband. I enjoyed teaching art for over 21 years in both the public and private sector. Upon retirement, my husband and I embarked on our shared dream of travel. Most of my work is inspired by my connection with the landscape and the lure of the natural beauty that surrounds us. I currently reside in West Virginia. My latest works are in pastel. I also work with watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. I am a member of the Pastel Society of America.
